The Founders' Hall
The first exhibition took place with great success at The Founders’ Hall on the 4th and 5th November.
A vibrant turn out from participating artists, collaborating crafts people and the supportive Founders led to a warm and buzzing atmosphere. The installation of 112 bronze species transformed the hall into a captivating installation, and the excited conversation filled the rooms as everyone saw the whole collection together for the first time since its inception one year ago. None of the artists had seen their sculptures in bronze until the show, having posted them to Abigail in wax, and then followed their journey through the lost-wax casting process virtually as the project progressed.
All of the unique sculptures will be sold in an online auction in March, raising money for conservation organisations. If you have caught the excitement for owning your own bronze endangered species, you can sign up here to receive news about the auction, and information about the next exhibitions where you will be able to see the sculptures in person once again.
